We're taking a sick day

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning my sister, Andrea, takes the girls to a from daycare for me while I go to my internship. Well this morning, 5 minutes after they left Andrea called me and said that Ashley was throwing up. Yuck! So we all went back home and all Ashley wants to do is lay down and watch movies. Poor girl! Luckily she knows what that bowl is for!

Summertime . . . and the livin's easy.

Saturday was our first visit to the pool for the year! We had so much fun! Gracie tripped head first into the water about 5 times. And it took Ash about an hour to warm up to the water again. But after that, she was going down the slides and splashing in the water.
We had a lot of fun with Andrea and Lindsay, too!
C-ya next week - same time- same place!

Marriage Tag

I haven't done a tag for a while, so here we go! I also tag Sarah Turpin, Marianne Firth , Shaina Bale, Cherilyn Oliver, and Mary McKee. Have fun!

How Long have you been married? As I noted in the last post, we just had our 5 year anniversary. And, as a side note, we've moved 7 times since we've been married. Yikes!

How old is your spouse? As I noted in the second to last post, Matt is 27 years old. He's 2 years older and wiser than I am.

Who eats more? Well, it depends on the meal. Matt can down a lot of food, but I can give him a run for his money if I really like it.

Who said I love you first? Matt said it first, after a very short amount of time spent dating. It didn't take me much longer, though. He said it first while we were on a walk at BYU-Idaho one night. It was very sweet.

Who is taller? Matt is taller (by 6ish inches), but that's not a hard thing to do. Being 5ft. 2in (on a good day), pretty much everyone is taller than me.

Who sings better? Well, I would have to say that I do. Maybe it's just that I like to sing more, so I do it more often.

Who is smarter? We're pretty equal, but have different strengths. He's very logical and I'm not at all.

Who controls the TV remote? Matt's pretty obsessed with being in control of the TV, so usually he's in charge. But I have my lucky days when I get the power!

Whose temper is worse? I guess I get angry more often, but when he gets mad, he REALLY gets mad! (for about 30 seconds and it's over)

Who does the laundry? I do it the most often, but Matt's picked up the slack a lot more lately.

Who does the dishes? I do it the most, but every once in a while Matt will help me out. Thanks, Matt, cuz I know how much you hate it!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When looking toward the headboard, I do. Matt can only sleep on the left, but I'm pretty flexible. I'd rather sleep on the left because it's further fron the door, but this works, too!

Who cooks dinner? We've been pretty even lately, but now that Matt has a job, I'll be making it the majoirity of the time.

Who is more stubborn? ummm, definitely me.

Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Definitely Matt.

Whose parents do you see the most? We see the Egans the most because we live so close to them. We love the times when we get to see the Cannons, though!

Who has more friends? Matt makes friends with eveyone everywhere he goes. I'm more shy, so he definitely has a lot more friends than I do.

Who has more siblings? Matt has 2 sisters, and I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. But we do have a niece, a nephew, and another one on the way on his side.

Who wears the pants in the family? We usually share the pants.

5 Years!!

Today is me and Matt's 5 year anniversary. We met at BYU-Idaho and got married in May 2003. I wanted to post some pics from the big day to remember how much fun it was! Matt is in Philidelpha for a few weeks for training for a great new job he got, so we'll have to celebrate when he get home.

Another Birthday Shout-Out

Matt's birthday was last week on May 15th. He turned the big 2-7 this year. We had a fun day together, and Ashley and Gracie loved throwing their present (Oreo's) directly to his feet that night before bed. They also loved singing to him and teling him Happy Birthday! What great kids he has!

The Ogden Marathon

I always knew my sister Lindsay was amazing, but she proved it again this weekend! She ran the Ogden Marathon for the second time on Saturday. Brandon met her every so often and even ran with her for a little bit! What a great husband!

We all went up to see her cross the finish line. It was so much fun! She looked so good crossing the finish line - and didn't even seem tired!!

Not only did she finish, but she shaved 36 minutes off her time from last year! She crossed the finish line at 3 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. Under 4 hours!! Congrats, Linz!! Oh - and thanks to Andrea for the great pictures!

Gracie's Growing Up!

Gracie is about 18 months now. She's going to nursery (YEAH!), talking, singing, laughing, and getting into trouble; all the things 18-month-olds do. She has some pretty funny faces. I love it!

Ashley's Birthday

Ashley turned 3 on April 4th. We had a great day! She got to open lots of new toys, eat cake, and stay up late! What else could she want?! I decided to post some pictures not only of her birthday, but of her life. We love Ashley so much! She brings so much joy, love, and laughter to our family. Thanks for being so wonderful, Ash! Happy Birthday!

Dad's 50th Birthday

My Dad turned 50 on April Fools Day this month. We had a fun little family party for him a couple weeks ago. My siblings and I worked for a few months putting together a book for him called, "50 Reasons We're Glad You're Our Dad." It was so fun to make, but it was even more fun to watch him look through the pages we made. My Dad has always been my idol and I love him so much. Thanks for everything you do for me, Dad!!
